The Weeknd’s Bangkok concert has become a talking point for reasons that had little to do with the music, after concertgoers reported finding suspected faeces on the floor of the standing area at Rajamangala National Stadium.
The incident reportedly took place during the Canadian singer’s After Hours Til Dawn Tour on Sunday, 11 October. Images shared on social media appeared to show fans gathering around what was believed to be human waste, leaving others nearby trying to keep their distance.
According to the Bangkok Post, several users on X, formerly Twitter, posted about the alleged incident, which quickly attracted attention online. One image showed concertgoers standing in a circle around the material on the stadium floor.
A screenshot from TikTok user @tu_muuu also showed a phone displaying the message, “someone just defecated, please help clear it out”.

While the posts prompted plenty of discussion, the circumstances remain unclear. There has been no independent confirmation of who was responsible or how the incident occurred.
For fans who had gathered to sing along to hits such as Blinding Lights and Starboy, the discovery was an unwelcome distraction from the night’s entertainment. The situation also reignited conversations online about concert etiquette and the importance of respecting fellow attendees in crowded venues.
The Weeknd’s Bangkok Tour Continues Despite Online Distraction
The incident came as The Weeknd brought his After Hours Til Dawn Tour back to Bangkok for a three-night run at Rajamangala National Stadium on 11, 12 and 13 October.
As reported by Time Out Bangkok, the tour initially had one Bangkok date scheduled for 11 October. Two additional shows were subsequently added following strong demand, giving more fans the chance to see the singer perform live.
The tour draws on three albums that have shaped this era of The Weeknd’s music: After Hours (2020), Dawn FM (2022) and Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025). Its setlist features a mix of newer material and familiar favourites, including The Hills, Save Your Tears, Can’t Feel My Face and Blinding Lights.
Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts were also scheduled to perform as the supporting act at the Bangkok shows. The concerts attracted fans and visitors from across Asia, reflecting the singer’s popularity in the region.
The reported incident, however, became an unexpected part of the online conversation surrounding the tour. Some social media users also raised separate complaints about alleged smoking inside the venue, including claims involving cigarettes and cannabis. These allegations have not been independently verified.
With large crowds gathering for major live performances, the episode serves as a reminder that concert etiquette matters just as much as the music. For now, questions surrounding the suspected faeces remain unanswered, and the identity of the person allegedly responsible has not been confirmed.
The Weeknd’s Bangkok dates may have been planned around music, lights and a stadium-sized production, but the incident shows how quickly an unexpected moment among the crowd can become part of the conversation after a show.
