Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of Accor, has opened Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit in partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), marking the hospitality brand’s first hotel in Thailand.

Located in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit neighbourhood, the new hotel features 416 guestrooms and 58 suites, alongside restaurants and bars, wellness facilities, event spaces and family-focused amenities. The property is designed to bring together accommodation, dining, celebrations and social experiences in one of Bangkok’s busiest districts.

The opening follows Fairmont’s recent expansion in Asia, including the debuts of Fairmont Hanoi and Fairmont Tokyo.

A New Fairmont Hotel in Bangkok

Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit was designed by Thai architectural and interior design practice PIA around the concept of a “blooming stage” for celebration. The design draws on Thailand’s botanical heritage, with floral elements incorporated throughout the hotel.

One of the most prominent features is the lobby chandelier inspired by the ratchaphruek, Thailand’s national flower. The installation comprises 4,166 glass pieces and more than 35,000 crystal balls.

Floral motifs and sculptural details also appear across the guestrooms and public spaces. The interiors combine a residential feel with spaces designed for socialising, dining and events.

“Thailand’s gracious hospitality, rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted appreciation for connection make it a natural home for Fairmont,” said Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

He added that the Bangkok property represents a significant step in Fairmont’s expansion across Asia, providing a space where local residents and international travellers can connect and celebrate.

Restaurants and Bars at Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit

Dining is a central part of the new hotel, with seven venues planned to open throughout 2026.

Harper’s takes inspiration from the North American-French brasserie, combining Parisian and New York influences. The restaurant operates throughout the day, offering a dining option for hotel guests and visitors. AELA Social Bar changes from a daytime lounge into a cocktail destination after sunset.

Meanwhile, CAYA Pool Club takes inspiration from Bangkok’s night markets, serving contemporary interpretations of Thai street food alongside creative cocktails.

Another dining and entertainment venue is Wiggle Room, located beneath the hotel and scheduled to open in mid-September 2026. The venue has a private entrance on Sukhumvit Soi 18 and combines cabaret-inspired entertainment with live music, performances, cocktails and food.

The hotel’s culinary offering is set to expand further in December 2026, when two additional concepts will open across levels 32 and 33. The rooftop on level 33 will feature one restaurant combining Italian and Japanese influences, while another will focus on contemporary Thai cuisine and the country’s culinary heritage.

Wellness and Spa Experiences

Wellness is another major component of the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit experience, following Fairmont’s Wellness Without Walls approach.
Fairmont Spa takes inspiration from the jasmine flower, which is associated with Thai hospitality and purity. The spa offers treatments designed around relaxation and wellbeing.

The hotel also has Fairmont Studio, with dedicated areas for yoga, cardio and strength training. Through Fairmont Fit, wellness services extend beyond the fitness facilities, allowing guests to maintain their routines while travelling.

The hotel positions these facilities as part of a wider approach to wellbeing rather than treating the spa and fitness areas as standalone amenities.

Meeting and Event Spaces

Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit also offers more than 21,500 square feet, or 2,000 square metres, of flexible event space across three floors.

The event facilities include the Signature Grand Ballroom, which features a 12-metre ceiling and a dedicated arrival forecourt. A second ballroom, seven breakout rooms, Couture Hall and additional meeting spaces are also available.

The facilities are designed for a range of occasions, including corporate conferences, executive meetings, weddings, gala dinners, product launches and private celebrations.

Jerome Lobier, General Manager of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, said the hotel aims to bring together international travellers and the local community through dining, wellness and celebrations.

Family and Fairmont Gold Experiences

The hotel also caters to families through dedicated accommodation and its Kids Club programme. Guests travelling with pets are welcome to bring dogs and other four-legged companions weighing up to 30 kilograms, with pet-friendly amenities available at the property.

For guests looking for a more private experience, Fairmont Gold offers the brand’s “hotel within a hotel” concept. The service includes a dedicated reception, an exclusive lounge with food and beverage offerings throughout the day, and a dedicated concierge team.
